Dave Brice
is a CAPBT Companion Animal Practitioner and runs a canine behaviour practice in North West Norfolk. He has worked and volunteered for both
Wood Green Animal Shelter and the RSPCA
. He currently volunteers for
PACT Animal Sanctuary
helping with training and behaviour problems both in the sanctuary and after the dogs have found a new home. Amongst other qualifications Dave has an Advanced Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training with the Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE) where he was tutored by:

Dave has completed a number of Post Diploma courses including Practical Behaviour Management (Aggression) and Advanced Pharmacology; he regularly attends courses to maintain and develop his level of knowledge and also to keep up to date with any advances in behaviour modification and training.
Dave is now involved in a mentoring scheme – run by
Val Strong
– focussing on training pet dogs to assist owners with disabilities and special needs. He is also a tutor for COAPE and runs practical courses in different aspects of dog training and handling. Dave is currently writing a correspondence/ practical course for COAPE on Rescue and Rehabilitation, in conjunction with Sue Ketland DipCABT who is the Training Officer and Behaviourist at Wood Green Animal Shelter, Huntingdon.
Dave lives in Norfolk with Lily a 4 year-old English Springer Spaniel and Alfie a 21/2 year-old Australian Shepherd X Border Collie.
Val Strong MSc
runs a large behaviour practice in the north of England. She is a Partner of COAPE, and a member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors. Val is an international speaker and is well known for her work in the assistance dog industry; being the world leader in the training of Emergency Response Dogs for people with epilepsy and other complex medical conditions. She has many years experience in the training of dogs and horses and is an expert in the effects of diet on canine behaviour, rehabilitation and training.
